Surf City Artist Carol Langston"One of my first art instructors told us that you should want a feeling of the scene or subject you are painting not a copy, a camera will do that! Since I do paint in an impressionistic style that philosophy has released me from becoming stressed out when I paint. I love color and love to have fun, that's what my art is about!Our family (my husband and two sons) have lived in Huntington Beach for over 25 years; we live in such a great place! I have just finished working on a series of Huntington Beach paintings from various locations. We have so much material to draw from I can be busy painting for a long time. My art background consists of classes at the community college level, a few of the art workshops I've attended include: Rex Brandt, Robert E. Wood, Milford Zornes and Charles Reid. As a member of the Huntington Harbour Art Association, I look forward to their annual exhibit at the Huntington Beach Library."
